Job Summary
Forte Upstream Services Limited is seeking a highly organized, experienced, and detail-oriented Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations and inventory management activities at its Port Harcourt location. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, tracking, control, and distribution of materials while maintaining inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
The ideal candidate should possess strong inventory management expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience in warehouse operations, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
 

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely reconciliation of stock balances.
• Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to minimize stock variances, losses, and obsolete inventory.
• Oversee material identification, tagging, tracking, and documentation processes.
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of warehouse transactions, including Goods Received Notes (GRNs), delivery notes, issue vouchers, and stock transfer records.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure timely availability of materials and efficient inventory planning.
• Monitor inventory levels and provide recommendations for replenishment and stock optimization.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization and ensure proper storage practices for all inventory items.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit periodic inventory, stock movement, and warehouse performance reports to management.
• Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse personnel to enhance productivity, efficiency, and adherence to procedures.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Support internal and external audit activities relating to warehouse and inventory records.
 

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Previous experience within the oil and gas industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, warehouse management practices, and stock reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and inventory management software.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
• Familiarity with oilfield materials, spare parts, drilling equipment, and warehouse handling procedures.
• Experience using SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar ERP systems.
• Knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and inventory optimization techniques.
• Professional certifications in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, Logistics, or Warehouse Management will be an added advantage.
