News Editor and Website Publisher

Job Summary

Location: Lagos

Salary: ₦150,000 per month.

Requirements
●Strong written English and good editing and proofreading skills
●Good news judgement and strong attention to detail
●Ability to verify information using credible sources and recognise when further checks are required
●Familiarity with website/CMS publishing, or the ability to learn quickly
●Basic graphic design skills using Canva or similar tools
●Good understanding of African, UK and diaspora news audiences
●Ability to work independently, follow editorial guidance and meet deadlines.
●1–2 years of relevant experience is preferred, but not essential.
●Strong applications from less experienced candidates will be considered where their work demonstrates the required skills and judgement.
●A background in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media or a related field is an advantage, but practical ability and the quality of submitted work will also be considered.
