Job Summary
The Head of Financial Control will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that support the organization's short-term and long-term objectives. The successful candidate will oversee all finance and accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage financial reporting, and provide strategic financial leadership to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's overall business objectives.
- Lead and oversee all finance and accounting operations, including budgeting, financial planning, reporting, taxation, and audit functions.
- Prepare, review, and monitor departmental budgets to ensure effective financial performance.
- Direct the preparation of financial statements, management reports, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and other statutory financial reports.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Represent the organization before financial institutions, government agencies, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks that promote accountability and efficient resource utilization.
- Supervise treasury and investment activities, including liaising with banks and financial institutions to secure funding where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting, audit, and reporting requirements in accordance with applicable regulatory and capital market standards.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to executive management to support informed decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar financial leadership role within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, cost control, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent knowledge and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong understanding of Nigerian taxation laws and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing financial statements, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Proficiency in automated financial and accounting reporting systems and ERP software.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and sound commercial judgment.
