Our client is an established organisation within the maritime sector, providing essential services to the oil and gas industry, operating in Nigeria and another African market, with expansion plans underway.

The Role
The Head of HR will serve as the strategic HR leader, shaping and driving the people agenda across multi-country operations — aligning HR strategy with business expansion goals while maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and drive enterprise-wide HR strategy aligned with growth and operational objectives
- Lead organisational design and workforce planning for multi-country scale
- Establish and standardise HR governance frameworks, policies, and systems
- Partner with executive leadership on capability building and succession planning
- Drive performance management and accountability frameworks
- Oversee employee relations, compliance, and risk across jurisdictions
- Lead HR integration and change management for business expansion

Requirements
- 15–17 years progressive HR experience; 3–5 years as Head of HR in a medium to large organisation
- Experience in maritime, oil and gas, logistics, or operationally intensive industries preferred
- Proven track record across multiple locations or countries
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour law; exposure to other African markets is an advantage
- B.Sc. in HR, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field
- CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, SPHR certification strongly preferred

**Location:** Lagos (with travel within and outside Nigeria)
