Field Procurement Officer (Palm kernel seeds supply)

Job Summary

Location: West Region - Ondo & Ekiti States coverage

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly reliable and results driven Field Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and purchase of palm kernel seeds across Ondo and Ekiti States. This role requires direct engagement with local sellers. 
The ideal candidate must be street-smart, detail-oriented and confident in assessing product quality and negotiating fair prices in dynamic market conditions.

Responsibilities: 
• Source and maintain relationships with palm kernel sellers across Ondo and Ekiti
• Travel regularly to sourcing locations across Ondo and Ekiti
• Physically inspect and test palm kernels for quality before purchase
• Negotiate pricing and ensure cost-effective procurement
• Coordinate transportation of purchased goods to the factory 
• Maintain accurate procurement records and report to management regularly. 
• Provide regular market intelligence and supply updates

Requirements: 
• Minimum of 3 years proven experience in agro-commodity procurement 
• Solid knowledge of palm kernel quality assessment
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Existing supplier network in Ondo/Ekiti is a strong advantage
• HND/B.Sc. in a relevant field but experience takes priority
• High level of integrity and accountability
