2D/3D Animator (Contract)

Job Summary

 Hybrid – Lagos

Relio Studios is a Nigeria-based animation studio creating premium original IPs, children’s entertainment, and high-quality animated content for commercial, educational, and social-impact projects.

We’re looking for a talented 2D Animator, 3D Animator, or Animation Generalist to join us on a contract basis. If you’re passionate about visual storytelling and enjoy bringing memorable characters and worlds to life, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
* Create high-quality 2D and/or 3D animation for a variety of projects. *Character animation is a must have*.
* Interpret scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs into engaging animated sequences.
* Collaborate closely with the creative team throughout production.
* Contribute to character performance, timing, and visual storytelling.
* Produce assets and animations that align with the studio’s creative vision and quality standards.
* Revise work based on creative feedback while meeting project deadlines.
* Where applicable, support the creation of graphic assets for presentations, social media, and marketing materials.

Requirements
* Demonstrable experience in 2D animation, 3D animation, or both.
* Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, composition, and visual storytelling.
* Proficiency in relevant industry-standard software (e.g. Blender or Maya for 3D, Toon Boom, Harmony, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, TVPaint, or equivalent).
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Strong communication and time-management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
 

* A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating your animation work.

Nice to Have
* Graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
* Experience creating children’s or family entertainment content.
* Experience with character rigging, motion graphics, storyboarding, or illustration.
* ⁠Good Lighting and rendering knowledge (3D)
